On February 10, 2005, the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) held its first meeting of the Intellectual Property Committee.
During the session, participants, after the resolution of certain procedural issues, had the opportunity to discuss new IP-related laws as well as the hot issues of intellectual property protection. Among other questions the problem of the use of the official name of the country (ĞUkraineğ) in trademarks was discussed. IP Committee members exchanged its experience as to IP objects customs registration questions and moot points about the letter of consent delivery within the trade mark registration procedure.
The Meeting was hosted by Konnov & Sozanovsky. Ms. Tatiana Gluhovskaya, Konnov & Sozanovsky's senior associate and patent attorney presided at the meeting.
