As part of the American Bar Association annual meeting in San Francisco, the ABA's Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative (CEELI), convened a panel discussion entitled «Today's Legal Profession in Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia: The Role of Lawyers in Transitioning Democracies».
Konnov & Sozanovsky's senior partner Mr. Sergei Konnov participated in a panel discussion at the American Bar Association's Annual Meeting in San Francisco and shared his perspective of how he feel the legal profession has changed in the Ukraine.
The other panelists included Mr. David Tolbert, Executive Director of CEELI (panel host), Dr. Rupert Wolff of the CCBE, Ms. Mary Greer, Director of CEELI Criminal Law Reform Programs and Ms. Ember Jandebeur, private attorney and recent CEELI liaison in Banja Luka, Bosnia. The audience was made up primarily of American lawyers interested in international practice or related topics. Lawyers from other countries attended the panel discussion, as well.
