Konnov & Sozanovsky has added two banking lawyers to its Kiev office to expand its financial practice.
Prior to join Konnov & Sozanovsky Ms. Oksana Garina and Ms. Lyudmila Bahmut worked as in-house lawyers in Savings Bank of Ukraine («Oschadbank»), Petrocommerz-Ukraine Bank and Ukrspecimpexbank.
Ms. Bahmut will advise domestic and international clients of Konnov & Sozanovsky on the functioning of the Ukrainian banking system and all key issues of banking law. The firm's practice covers registration and re-registration of new banks with the National Bank of Ukraine, legal advice on financial and currency regulations and optimization of banking operations. Ms. Garina will provide her advice on drafting and executing of deposit, loan and leasing contracts, as well as tax advice within the field both on international and domestic levels.
Banking practice area becomes one more specialization of Konnov & Sozanovsky following corporate law, securities, antitrust, M&A, intellectual property and litigation, the firm has established in its Kiev office since its launch in 1992.
