"During the section we will discuss both realities of our market and experience of foreign colleagues on issues of attracting financial flows to the film. The general purpose of the Conference is to suggest further development ways for the national market and help with the foreign experience adaptation to the realities of our market. Therefore we believe the section regarding the film finance shall become an essential practical guideline not only for the Ukrainian filmmakers. Thus participation in the Conference will be helpful for both parties of the process: film producers and investors, who wish in the right way to enter the market of the most essential art", - says Victoria Yarmoshuk, Director of the Media Recourses Management company, the organizer of the Conference "Film Business in Ukraine".
Yevgeniya Derbal, Partner of Konnov & Sozanovsky comments: "Our long-term experience working with the leading Ukrainian film companies show increasing interest of the national market in attracting external investments for production of quality television and film products. Investors are represented by Ukrainian and foreign companies and even some individuals. Investment attraction can be performed through both debt finance and equity finance. Besides the two basic options, which are actively in use in other sectors of economy, the film production is characterized with contractual schemes of investment attraction, accompanied by conclusion of multiple production & distribution agreements and other documents. These particular issues are to be discussed as well as financial and tax benefits for the national film market during the Conference "Film Business in Ukraine". Foreign experience will be honorably granted by representatives of the leading British and international law firms, who conduct British and American companies in production and distribution of the film product for many years".
One of the reporters of the Conference is Sergei Gratchev, Managing Partner of the Attorneys at Law Bureau MGAP (Russia), who has a great experience on conducting agreements in the media-law sphere, including strategic agreements between major American studios and Russian producers, and has also legally advised such films as "Irony of Fate.
