Konnov & Sozanovsky Kiev office launched the “Green office” project which is aimed at rational use of natural resources in every-day activities. Besides saving electricity and water, efficient usage of paper and office equipment, firm’s associates collect used batteries and paper for recycling.
First results of the project are already visible: on April, 9th, 1074 kilograms of waste paper were passed for recycling. See the photo-report on the firm’s page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.559743577399695.1073741840.186641278043262&type=1
“Giving paper for recycling, we save the plants from being cut down: 50 kilograms of waste paper save life for one adult tree. So, Konnov & Sozanovsky associates saved 21 trees from being felled”, - said Alexey Ivanov, the firm’s managing partner.
The project is launched on a permanent basement. Earned money for passing the waste paper will be used for planting young trees and other environmental projects.
As for collecting use batteries – these dangerous elements will be given to the batteries receiving centre in Kiev on 26 Kikvidze St. http://www.facebook.com/BatareikiUA?fref=ts
Batteries are extremely dangerous for environment. 1 small battery pollutes 20 square metres of land with heavy metals.
