• May 2008 - Konnov & Sozanovsky acted as a legal counsel in the acquisition of a controlling stake of shares of Ukrainian and Russian TV production and film making companies by Star Media. In addition to creating a scheme of acquisition, the lawyers of Konnov & Sozanovsky conducted due diligence on eight Ukrainian and Russian companies, which were part of the acquired group, developed and implemented the plan of corporate restructuring. As part of the project, the firm provided documentation support of the deal, in particular, drafted Investment Agreement, Share Purchase Agreement, Articles of the Company and other necessary documents, as well as obtained a permit of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for the acquisition.
• March 2008 - Konnov & Sozanovsky advised Olimpia Group, an international investment management and development companies, on competition law issues in relation to number of acquisitions in Ukraine.
• October 2007 - Konnov & Sozanovsky acted as a Ukrainian legal counsel to Basell, a worldwide company active in the manufacture and sale of polyolefins, polyolefin compounds as well as the licensing of polyolefins technology, on the issues of Ukrainian merger control law, including obtaining permission of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for the acquisition of Lyondell Chemical Company, a US manufacturer of chemicals and plastics, a refiner of heavy, high sulfur crude oil and producer of fuel products.
• September 2007 - Konnov & Sozanovsky acted as a Ukrainian legal counsel to International Paper, a company with worldwide activities in the production and supply of paper and packaging, on the issues of Ukrainian merger control law, including obtaining permission of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for the acquisition of 50% of Ilim, one of Russia’s leading pulp and paper producers.
• September 2007 - Konnov & Sozanovsky acted as a Ukrainian legal counsel to Arkema SA, a leading producer of vinyl products, industrial chemicals and performance products, on the issues of Ukrainian merger control law, including obtaining permission of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for the acquisition of French company Coatex SAS which is active in production of reological additives for water solutions.
• July 2007 - Konnov & Sozanovsky acted as a Ukrainian legal counsel to Veolia Proprete (France), a wholly owned subsidiary and waste management division of Veolia Environnement, a global provider of environmental management services, on the issues of Ukrainian merger control law, including obtaining permission of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for the acquisition of shares of SULO Group, international provider of waste management services.
